It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Dr Madeleine Sharp MBE, former President and Honorary Secretary of MSAVLC. She died peacefully at home, in the early hours of Tuesday 7th January 2014, age 93.
Madeleine served as Honorary Secretary of the charity from 1987 until 2008. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all of us at MSAVLC and her many friends worldwide.
Throughout her life she worked tirelessly to promote justice and peace, and to help the sick and needy at home and in South-East Asia. She loved Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and following her retirement as a family doctor in Coventry, she devoted her life to helping their peoples.
Madeleine’s selflessness and compassion shone through in everything that she did.
The world is a poorer place without her.
